Duncan Edghill, Executive Director, Economics & Finance, Capital Metro Agency
Duncan brings deep commercial acumen to the Capital Metro Agency, with international experience across transportation finance and other financial fields. Duncan is responsible for financial and economic aspects of the Capital Metro project.
Prior to joining the Agency, Duncan spent over a decade with the Macquarie Group in a variety of roles in its Sydney, Vienna and Boston offices. In the U.S., Duncan served on the Board of a public fund management company and was responsible for a number of transportation financing transactions. In Austria, Duncan was involved in the establishment of a European asset financing business and in the development of asset financing opportunities. Before heading overseas, Duncan held several roles in Macquarie’s Sydney office, including that of in-house legal counsel across a number of asset financing businesses. More recently, Duncan spent a period of time as a senior executive within a Territory-owned corporation delivering essential services to the ACT community.
Duncan holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales, a Master of International Security Studies from Macquarie University, and is an admitted solicitor in New South Wales, Australia.
