ESA (ACT) First Friday Economics
March 2019
Martin Parkinson AC PSM
The Research School of Economics at the ANU and the ACT Branch of the Economic Society of Australia wish to announce an exciting initiative aimed at enriching the professional and social lives of Canberra economists, to be known as “First Friday Economics”. We aim to provide a congenial setting, on the first Friday of every month, to allow the interaction of mainly young Canberra economists, with a major Canberra economist invited to give a short address. Finger food and drinks provided free of charge.
For the inaugural event in March, we are pleased to have Martin Parkinson speaking on the role of economists in public policy “Straying outside your lane”.
