ESA (ACT) Budget Breakfast
Guest Speaker: Dr Peter Hendy

The Economic Society of Australia (ACT) invites you to attend its annual Federal Budget Breakfast briefing by Dr Peter Hendy.

Dr Hendy will provide an overview of the 2022-23 Federal Budget and Opposition response in the budget reply and the upcoming election.

Dr Hendy is Commissioner of the Commonwealth Grants Commission with responsibility for recommending how over $70 billion of GST revenue should be shared between the States to achieve horizontal fiscal equalisation. He is also Chief Executive Officer at Peter Hendy Consulting, focused on economics and public policy issues.

Dr Hendy is a former Australian politician. He was Chief Economist of Prime Minister Turnbull's office in 2016. He represented the Australian Liberal Party in the House of Representatives for Eden-Monaro, New South Wales, from 2013 to 2016.

Breakfast will be a full hot plated breakfast, brewed coffee/tea
