Dr Gordon will speak on the contents of his new publication released in August 2025. The presentation will conclude by offering thoughts on how the theory, application and exposition of transport economics might be expanded and clarified.

About Dr Cameron Gordon
Dr. Cameron Gordon is an economist and policy expert working in the areas of transport project finance; public-private partnerships; urban public transport; health and social impacts of transport policy and investment; evaluation methods of economic and noneconomic impacts of transport; interdisciplinary economic history; and corruption in urban governments. Dr. Gordon is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Australian National University (ANU), Crawford School of Public Policy – Tax and Transfer Policy Institute. Dr. Gordon has held prior faculty appointments in Economics (with the ANU Research School of Economics, and the University of Canberra (UC) Faculty of Business, Government and Law); Management (with the ANU Research School of Management) Finance (with UC and the City University of New York) and in Public Administration and Public Policy (with the University of Southern California). He has held visiting research appointments with the University of Sydney, Institute of Transport and Logistics (ITLS); Imperial College of London, Centre for Transport Studies (CTS); and the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) School of Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations.
Dr. Gordon was on program committees for the Transportation Research Board (TRB) (part of the US National Academy of Sciences – National Research Council) for 25 years, including the former Transportation Economics, Freight Economics, and Congestion Pricing Committees.
Before his academic career, Dr. Gordon had a long public service career which included work for the US Congress Joint Committee on Taxation; the US Department of Defense – US Army Corps of Engineers; the US Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations; the US National Academy of Sciences – Board of Infrastructure and the Constructed Environment; and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Water Supply and Municipal Water Finance Authority.
