Speakers

Victoria Nguyen
Victoria Nguyen is a Research Economist at the Productivity Commission, where she has provided advice to the Australian Government on policy areas including philanthropy, data and digital technologies and heavy vehicle reform. Victoria has also worked at the Parliamentary Budget Office, Department of Finance, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and Reserve Bank of Australia, and holds degrees in Actuarial Studies and Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the Australian National University.
 
Emma Hill
Emma Hill is an analyst at the Treasury. She currently works in the Tax Analysis Division, where she has contributed to revenue costings across migration, border taxes, and other policy areas. Before joining Tax Analysis Division, she worked in the Budget Policy Division on fiscal and balance sheet policy and supported Budget and MYEFO processes. Emma holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Melbourne.

Michael Corliss

Michael is a senior economist at the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, specialising in the labour market, productivity, pay and conditions, and workforce transitions. Previously, he worked at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and held academic positions at the University of Canberra and ANU. Michael holds a Doctorate in Economics and has published on various labour market issues. Michael started his career at the Centre for Labour Market Research.
