The Economic Society of Australia (ACT) and the Research School of Economics at the ANU wish to invite you to the June edition of First Friday Economics (FFE). FFE is an exciting initiative aimed at enriching the professional and social lives of Canberra economists. We aim to provide a congenial setting\, on the first Friday of every month\, to allow the interaction of mainly young Canberra economists\, with a major Canberra economist invited to give a short address.&nbsp\;
For the June event\, we are pleased to have Chris Richardson\, the head of Deloitte Access Economics&rsquo\; forecasting and policy unit. Chris is possibly one of Australia&rsquo\;s best known economists&nbsp\;and will talk about &lsquo\;How economists can make a better society&rsquo\;. A highly sought after commentator and presenter on economic trends in both broadcast and print media\, he is also the author of Business Outlook\, a leader in its field of macro forecasting\, as well as the highly influential Budget Monitor\, an in-depth analysis of the Australian Federal Budget.
